This is the definition of a crowd pleaser and is so versatile it with so many different meals and/or occasions. Made from classic Southern French varietals - Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan - it has a slightly fuller palate than the ones you might find in Provence. I would say it is ever ever so slightly 'off-dry' but nowhere near to being classed as sweet, it is just dominated by lovely red fruit flavours.

A note on the bottle closure. The glass stopper can throw you off (or at least it did for me the first time I came across them). It needs pushing from underneath, rather than pulling from above. But once you are in, it then becomes very handy. If we have any sloe gin makers or if you are in need of a water carafe, this bottle can do just the job.
